The Rapid operates fixed-route, on-demand response services for people with disabilities and those living outside the fixed-route service area. Car and vanpooling programs are offered among other services.

The activities of The Rapid are overseen by a 15-member board of directors that represent the six municipalities in The Rapid service area.
